Armonk Residence

The owners of this bucolic property in Armonk NY had a dilemma; the house they built as a young couple was modern, very difficult to live in and in need of repair. They wanted to sell it and build another house on half the property but the truth was that the house was perfectly sited on the best part of the land. They made the difficult decision to remove the existing house and build a new one in its place. It was the right thing to do.

Working with designers Diamond Barratta we fashioned a very different house for them (and for us) based on classical estate homes. And we provided what the original house never did; usable outdoor space at the top of the hill. While the style is unusual for us, the sense of luxury and gracious living is what we have come to love about homes.
