A well-known graphic design firm occupying top floor roof space required offices expressing their work (flat graphic images) and respecting their collection of furniture.

The forms created are less sculptural than flat and graphic as a reference to the firm’s work. The sculptural quality of the space (shaped by the roof and dormers) is used as a foil to the linear and graphic elements contained within.

Floor patterns rendered in linoleum and silhouetted linear forms fill the idiosyncratic space. The rooftop shapes are fully felt throughout, shaping the spaces and details.

The owner’s furniture collection is displayed in one partner’s office, complemented by a corrugated wood wall. Custom designed reception desk and work stations are plays on the collection and the forms created by the context.

A rooftop conference room completes the project with a powerful and expressive image.
