Subway Crush

Mike Bodge and Matthew Haggerty have taken our idea of subway dating cars and put it online at Subway Crush. A cross between Missed Connections and train connections, visitors can use the site to try to find that person they were smitten with on the morning commute. Hopefully, the "Italian looking man with cap" will one day be reunited with the girl of his dreams, a "Spanish/Italian gal on [the] E train."

A decidedly sappier variant on Subway Crush is Septa Love Stories, a project by SEPTA, the Philadelphia Transit System. Their website asks you to submit your best straphanger love story, and the winners are then invited to ride on "The Love Train" when Valentine's Day approaches. City of Brotherly Love indeed.
